The Spark Leadership Academy (Spark) is a subsidiary of North Star Impact Coaching (NSIC), co-led by Nehemie "Neh" Moïse and Jamal “Jay” Jimerson. Spark is dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders by equipping young people with the skills, character, and confidence to lead with integrity and purpose.

To amplify its impact, Spark offers a range of programs and services, including therapeutic support, youth leadership development, community engagement workshops, and social work supervision. These initiatives are designed to foster resilience, critical thinking, and a commitment to service, ensuring that young people and their communities are empowered to thrive.

Spark represents the light of possibility. Just as a single spark can ignite a flame, we strive to inspire curiosity, confidence, and a passion for learning in every youth we serve.

How Spark is Supported

​

Spark will operate with a unique funding model that blends philanthropy with reinvestment from its parent organization, NSIC. A portion of NSIC’s profits is reinvested into Spark to provide seed funding and ongoing support for its youth-focused initiatives. This partnership ensures that Spark has a strong foundation to deliver transformative programs while sustaining long-term growth.

In addition to NSIC’s contributions, Spark will draw on multiple funding streams, including grants, donations, program fees, and corporate sponsorships, enabling it to expand its reach and impact.

Programs and Services

1. Therapeutic Services for Youth

​

What We Do: Spark will provide mental health and therapeutic services to support the emotional and psychological well-being of youth. These services are designed to help young people navigate challenges, build resilience, and develop the tools they need to thrive personally and academically.

Benefits: By addressing mental health needs, Spark will ensure that youth are emotionally equipped to take on leadership roles and make meaningful contributions to their communities.

2. Youth Leadership Development

What We Do: Through school-year and summer programs, Spark will offer hands-on leadership training and mentorship opportunities that cultivate confidence, critical thinking, and a strong sense of purpose. Using the True North Leadership Model (TNLM), Spark will empower youth to lead with integrity and vision.

3. Social Work Supervision Services

What We Do: Spark will offer professional supervision services for social workers seeking licensure or ongoing professional development. These services will integrate the TNLM framework to ensure social workers are equipped with the skills and ethical grounding to serve their communities effectively.

Benefits: By supporting the professional growth of social workers, Spark strengthens the capacity of organizations to provide high-quality wrap around services to those in need.

4. Community Engagement Workshops

What We Do: Spark will deliver workshops for caregivers, community organizers, and adult leaders, focusing on leadership development through the True North Leadership Model (TNLM). These sessions will address topics such as effective communication, conflict resolution, and fostering collaboration and service.
